Representative Ashley Bryant Bailey grew up in Roselawn, a Cincinnati neighborhood shaped by working-class values, deep faith, and community commitment. A proud graduate of Cincinnati public school, Walnut Hills High School and student of the University of Cincinnati, she now represents Ohio’s 26th House District, which includes Evanston, Bond Hill, Hyde Park, Oakley, and nearby neighborhoods. Her upbringing—anchored by a mother who served as a social worker and a father who rose as a corporate executive—instilled in her both the urgency of equity and the belief that opportunity must be accessible to all.

Rep. Bryant Bailey brings more than 16 years of experience at the intersection of politics, community, and social impact. Her career spans Procter & Gamble, President Barack Obama’s 2012 campaign, and national leadership roles advising organizations such as Planned Parenthood, SEIU, MoveOn, and the Ford Foundation. She also co-founded Win Black, a coalition combating disinformation targeting Black and Latinx voters. Today, she serves as Senior Advisor to Higher Heights for America, the nation’s leading organization dedicated to building Black women’s political power.

As State Representative, Rep. Bryant Bailey is focused on ensuring Ohio families can thrive—not just get by. Her priorities include expanding access to quality healthcare, strengthening public education, creating good-paying jobs, and advancing equity across economic development. Locally, she has served on the boards of UpSpring, supporting youth experiencing homelessness, and on the Hamilton County Convention Facilities Authority.

Rep. Bryant Bailey lives in Cincinnati with her husband, Ethan, and their two young daughters. She remains grounded in the belief that politics should serve people, not power—and is committed to working across the aisle to deliver real solutions for Ohio families.
