    All deadlines

    Show dates for

    Recounts and election contests

An application for a recount must be filed no later than 5 days after official results are declared. R.C. 3515.02

A petition contesting an election must be filed in the appropriate court within 15 days after official results are declared. If there is a recount, the deadline is 10 days after the recount results are declared. R.C. 3515.09

    Terms and date changes

Military and overseas voters are covered by the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA). They have separate ballot deadlines.

Moved to next business day means the legal deadline fell on a day state and county election offices are closed, so it moves to the next open day (R.C. 1.14). This does not apply to military and overseas ballot deadlines.

Moved earlier means the deadline was set earlier to meet legal notice requirements.
